Infant Program

The Infant day care Program is geared towards your baby from six weeks to 18 months of age in Plano TX, and is developed with the special needs of that age group in mind. Apart from a loving and nurturing staff, our Infant Program provides learning experiences to enhance your child’s social, emotional, physical, cognitive and developmental growth.

Safety and Peace of Mind

The knowledge that your baby is in a safe, nurturing and caring environment is crucial to your peace of mind. Our entry way is secured and coded and the classrooms are video monitored. At WBLC, we go the extra mile to ensure that parents are involved in their baby’s day, to the maximum extent that is possible for them. We are proud of what we do and love to show it off. We encourage you to drop in unannounced during the day and observe your baby interacting with their teachers and peers, through the observation window or simply by going in the classroom and spending time in your baby’s environment.

A daily sheet provides you with detailed information about your child’s day, including feeding times, diaper changing information and other interesting tidbits!

The Environment

At Willow Bend, our infant daycare environment is designed to be clean, safe, and sanitary to ensure the health and well-being of every child. We follow strict protocols for continuous surface sanitization to prevent the spread of infection.

Our classrooms are bright, cheerful, and visually stimulating. The staff takes great pride in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, with creative artwork, children’s projects, and family photos displayed throughout.

With low teacher-to-infant ratios, we provide personalized attention to every baby. Our caring, nurturing staff is specially trained to meet the unique needs of infants, forming strong emotional bonds through hugging, cuddling, rocking, and soothing, while fostering positive learning experiences.

We offer a flexible feeding schedule tailored to each baby’s individual needs. Bottles are never propped, and careful attention is given to burping and ensuring a calming, nurturing feeding experience. Older infants are also guided in developing appropriate table skills as they transition to solid foods.

Nanny Service

We understand how important quality care is for your baby. That’s why we’ve introduced our Nanny Service, enhancing the level of attention each child receives. Our dedicated Nanny handles all diaper changes throughout the day, allowing the teachers to focus fully on feeding, nurturing, and playing with the babies. This ensures more quality time for personal interaction and care.

Infant Daycare Curriculum

Our infant curriculum is packed with engaging small group activities. Daily tummy time encourages the development of gross motor skills such as reaching, pulling, crawling, rolling, and climbing. Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are nurtured through interactive games and large manipulatives like target kicking, pounding, and throwing. Sensory development is promoted with textured books and developmental toys, while cognitive skills such as recognizing colors, shapes, sounds, and basic number concepts are introduced. Our free-movement play area allows babies to explore a variety of materials and objects, encouraging tactile and visual stimulation.

Language development begins early, with one-on-one interactions, storytelling, and picture exploration. Fun activities like puppetry and finger play add an element of joy while fostering vocal and language skills. Music is a key component, encouraging movement, rhythm, and group play through singing and dancing.

Hands-On Arts and Crafts Our arts and crafts activities let babies experiment with different textures and sensations. While a 7-month-old may not yet be able to “paint,” the sensory stimulation and personal interaction they experience—such as dipping their hands in “jello” paint to make a handprint—are essential to their growth and development.

Outdoor Time Babies also enjoy time outside, whether it’s taking a ride in a buggy, playing on infant swings, or engaging with push/pull toys and balls.
